I bought train tickets yesterday afternoon from @AvantiWestCoast. I opted for them to be emailed to me. I still haven’t received that email. Took my money pretty quickly though…

Funny how the @BootsUK #recycleatboots scheme seems to change its rules all the time. Many things I’ve previously recycled become ‘ineligible’ when I go to recycle again. It’s almost like Boots wants to stop customers from earning too many points.

@BootsUK The store inside London Victoria Station (upstairs). I’m trying to use the recycle scheme. I’ve opened the app, had my location checked and then when I tried to scan the QR code to start the deposit this was the error I got.

Hey @BootsUK - can you please fix the blister bucket recycling box at your Victoria station store? I’m getting an error and trying to use it which means I can’t use the scheme.

@greateranglia It would be better if your company just did their job properly. It looks like we’ll be getting a reimbursement of the cost of the ticket because we’re still not even on the train and it was due to leave a minute ago.

@DavidSm98088793 @fesshole In London at least, this is no longer deemed an acceptable excuse - they've put up posters saying it's your responsibility to charge your phone and they'll fine you if you try this.

@fesshole Even better. Get an e-ticket and when inspector comes say ‘phone is down and you don’t have any charging points’. You’ve switched the phone off. I’ve been rehearsed how to pretend to switch it on but not if they adopt that tactic. Not been caught yet +1

My train to work is only a 5 minute journey. I load up my train ticket app and take the purchase all the way to the last screen. I only click 'pay' if the conductor asks for my ticket, pretending the apps 'taking ages to load'. Not been caught yet.
