@icehockeystick It drives me crazy. Having salient pieces of one’s identity that are outside of sport is good for well-being. But it’s also benefits performance. Athletes who can’t shut it off when they leave the rink/go home face ⬆️ risk of burn out, injury, etc

Science is hard. Having some data and analytics knowledge to model and make graphics can cause REAL MIS-INFORMATION problems. Please be aware that "playing with data" publicly can have negative implications in this case.

These models take decades to build. They then take days and days in supercomputers to run, and they are run for hundreds, if not thousands, of repeated simulations. These are the simulations the government gets to plan the pandemic. It’s not a log scale graph made in R.
