@ClintStoerner @dougascher Club champion does terrific fittings. In my experience, they will attempt to upcharge you on the irons themselves (premium shafts when a standard cost option would be 99% as good) and/or charge for the fitting itself which should be included at any reputable golf shop in 2026 IMO

Where my golfers at…
I need a lil help deciding on a what new set of irons to get.
I hit it well, pretty long, just struggle scoring. Definitely need a forgiving iron with a stiff shaft.
Recommendations please!!!

Golf is awesome because it’s pretty much the only sport where somebody who’s literally just some guy will be like “sure he’s a top 50 player in the world but he actually sucks” lmao. Sure man.

@Swingtheclubken @notRJdavis Yeah it’s too loose at the top. Goes way over the line with unnecessary movement. Extreme flying right elbow. Looks too lazy coming down to impact. Speaking of lazy, to wrap the club head far behind you on the backswing is lazy. Folks, this is not a good swing! DO NOT COPY IT!!

Tiger was arrested for DUI. Alcohol not involved. Passed breathalyzer. But refused urinalysis and was arrested.

Yeah there was a super brief period where I (being among the better golfers I play with regularly) though maybe it would be worth going all in with consistent practice/getting in shape & trying to local qualify at a couple events.
Then I saw the scoring at “normal” courses lol

@billahibarkley Sad part is this is coming from the guy (Law) who said the same thing about players under Enzo, questioned if good play was just players freelancing/ignoring tactics, basically has been overly negative forever..but is finally correct. “worst person you know has a point” situation
