If Enzo Fernandez is interested in leaving Chelsea, then what’s to say other star signings of the BlueCo era won’t decide they’ve had enough? And where would that leave the project? #cfc

This seemed to wind a lot of people up last week. I stand by it. There was a banner in the Matthew Harding stand displayed before kick-off last night that displayed all of Chelsea’s trophies. And slap bang in the middle of it - much bigger than all the others - was the Club World Cup. It was good at the time but nobody outside Chelsea rates it. Forget about it, move on and concentrate on winning a trophy that will really send a statement.

The first change Chelsea should make for next season is to remove the Club World Cup winners’ badge from their shirts. That would be a start to crushing a culture of arrogance #cfc telegraph.co.uk/football/2026/…

Everything that could have gone wrong for Rosenior and Chelsea pretty much did go wrong #cfc

I'm at Stamford Bridge for Chelsea v PSG tonight - what's French for Remontada? Blog here: telegraph.co.uk/football/2026/…

Just six days after French media publicised the entire Chelsea line-up on the day of the last-16 first-leg tie, it has been reported that Wesley Fofana will not start the second leg against PSG tonight

Chelsea team news suddenly seems a bit leaky. Rosenior was asked about his team for the PSG away game leaking in France last week and said: "These things happen. It's disappointing but I'm sure it won't happen again."

INFO ONZE MONDIAL - Liam Rosenior, l'entraîneur de Chelsea, pourrait apporter du changement en défense centrale ce mardi soir. Titulaire à l'aller, Wesley Fofana pourrait démarrer sur le banc. #CHEPSG #ldc2026

@TalkOfTheShed If I had a pop at every club that had embarrassed Villa at some point in the last 40 years of me supporting them then I'd be taking much greater interest in the financial reporting of Stevenage, Bradford and Luton.
English

@Matt_Law_DT Literally every day you’re having a pop a Chelsea. Is this because we embarrassed your beloved Villa?

Chelsea fans are understandably delighted with the PL punishment while fans of the majority of clubs just see it as further proof that the competition is effectively rigged. In a PSR/SCR era, Chelsea continue to benefit from the success the players in question contributed to.

Signing Hazard, Ramires, David Luiz, Andre Schurrle, Matic, Eto’o & Willian and only getting a £10m fine & a suspended transfer ban. WORTH IT.
English

@DarrenArsenal1 Agree. It also seems very unlikely that Chelsea are the only club to have done it.
English

@Matt_Law_DT Its not in the PL interest in a points deduction or it questions the very history of success of said club in its own competition
English

@Matt_Law_DT So how far back do we go when other teams use similar methods to get ahead?
Putting parents on payrolls? Buying houses? Brown envelopes? etc etc
English

@like_clarence I did. But that does not take into account Chelsea's ability to sustain, grow and drive revenue on the back of historical success that puts them in a better PSR/SCR position than the majority of clubs. That's my point on how the club still benefit from the era.
