@BenjaminSolak According to PFF the best pass rushing DT in 2025 statistically was 36 years old. Dex is 28. It was a brilliant move in a weak draft. They're in win now mode and they also brought in Boye Mafe, Bryan Cook, & Johnathan Allen. They'll restructure Burrow & Dex will get 3 yrs @ 30mil

Correct! However, the odds are quite high that we've seen Lawrence's best play (this coming from an enormous fan of his), and the difference in finances is massive!

@RapSheet @MikeGarafolo Lawrence is really good but this trade makes no sense for the Bengals. They could have drafted an interior DL with the 10 that was a slight downgrade from Dexter at a fraction of the cost.

The 49ers beat and statistically dominated Seattle last season when they were generally (not even fully) healthy. Anyone saying there is a roster gap between SF and SEA/LA is simply ignorant of facts.
And the 49ers have added A LOT this offseason at exact spots of weakness
