One of the most disturbing problems among the people of Akwa Ibom is religious ignorance. Being overly religious can be harmful and, at times, dangerous. Mr pink lips imposed an incompetent man on them, and many accepted it unquestioningly, because he claimed to be a pastor.

I have lost two friends to their husbands beating them to death, the most prominent one was married to a very useless and evil RCCG youth pastor, my friend was a hardworking banker and loved by her colleagues and her friends but the one problem who was a weapon fashioned against her was her useless husband. He is a jealous man, jealous of her achievements, controlling while he’s very jobless and lazy and dislike the facts that she’s so genuinely and truly loved by all. Every week is a different injury to her body and if I complain and tell her to leave her marriage she will say “she does not want her children to have two fathers and he will change “, he kept her off her friends and anytime her friends complain to him about the ways he’s treating her,he will tell her that her friends are prostitute and jealous that she’s married and wants her to be a single mother. In 2011 she didn’t come to work that morning which was so unusual of her even when titilayo is sick, she still call in at work and later return home so it unusual of her being absent at work, her friend called me that very day that she didn’t come to work and she wasn’t returning her call or BBM messages,I waved it off at first but later called but it was just ringing no returned call, then her friend suggested we go to her house during our lunch break time, mind you I was working in ikoyi while she was working at VI and lives in isolo,so I moved with her friend to her house. On getting to her house we knocked for some minutes with no response and I noticed her phone was ringing in the kitchen then I moved towards the kitchen entrance at the back, what I saw shocked my existence,I saw fresh blood all over the kitchen then I started shouting and raising alarm. People gathered to the back and broke the kitchen door, behold was my dear friend behind the kitchen cabinet dead and buttered like a ram at the abattoir,I screamed, cried, people were holding me and I was fighting them. It was the most horrific crime scene I have ever witnessed, the whole isolo neighborhood were filled with people that very day and her husband was later apprehended and at first he denied it,the RCCG church wanted to subvert the judgement so that he can be found not guilty but the forensic experts results indicted him and in 2019 he was finally sentenced to death by hanging and still awaiting the hangman nose. Her beautiful daughter is 18 this year and already at the university,I always pray she never meets a man like her father. Women need to LEARN TO LEAVE so that they can LIVE

My mum’s friends daughter got married to a real time abuser🥹🥹 Whenever he beats her, she’d run back home but her parents will send her back. The last time he beat her, the father of the lady said he won’t let her go back unless he comes with his family members to beg and not touch her again. He came with his family and the wife followed them back. Now he has beaten her to death with 5mths pregnancy 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 The only girl of her family, mehnnnnn💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔

@Nigeriangod_ This story made headlines then. One of those days in school, I was in my lecturer's (course adviser) office and she brought up this news. It was so scary even to listen to. How can a human being kill their partner in that manner? I just hope he is not pardoned one day.

You can’t continue to paint Akwa Ibom as the most beautiful state in Nigeria for your clickbait, when there’s chronic unemployment and poverty in that same state . The governor is a ceremonial governor.

I don’t know who gave Blessing CEO the guts and courage to go to ARISETV” of all places to defend her fake medical results for cancer?, a Tv station that many Nigerian politicians dread and even when invited they get disgrace and caught in their web of lies. She was trying to speak eloquent English thinking that would bail her out but they came prepared, the doctor invited made her say her lies before countering her, the biggest fumbled in interview was when they asked her about Biopsy done to her and she said “They cut open her left breast 🤣,she succeeded in fooling the gullible public and took it further to disgrace herself at AriseTv.

Myself and 3 other Nigerians have been unlawfully detained in Johannesburg airport for literally doing nothing, papers complete, visa valid and they literally just singled us out of the crowd for nothing, and onenof us's phone has been seized all day and hasn't been allowed to reach out to anyone. They are trying to take my own phone now, so I am putting this out so that the world knows that if anything happens to us, south Africa should be held responsible, please repost and tag the authorities concerned.. They are saying that they will detain us for no reason until God knows when. We are telling them that we want to book another flight back home immediately and they are refusing that. @abikedabiri @PoojaMedia @instablog9ja

Let me tell you why places like this cannot be developed even if you have the money to do so - The villagers and community leaders will not let you - The villagers and community leaders will drain you and threaten to attack your business every week - The villagers and community leaders will use your business as salary - You will get robbed every week - There are no roads in and out that are good In summary The Lagos coastline is what it is today because for some reasons, they welcome people and leave them there to do business You will never see that in any south south state. I am from a coastline village. BUA is trying to build a refinery in my place, but the villagers have frustrated the hell out of him that he shut down the project many times and was to leave Dangote built a refinery in Lagos and the process was smooth Other parts of Nigeria need to look inwards. Most investments and growth goes to Lagos because it is conducive

When I was residing in Abuja, I dreamed of capturing and showcasing Nigeria’s idyllic coastal clime, especially my home state, Bayelsa. Today, I am happy, fulfilled to have reached that dream. This is Brass Island.

@monsieur_avril There was a day when I wanted to board a commercial bus. I spotted a CNG cylinder under one of its seats and disembarked immediately. If Boko Haram bombs didn’t kill me in Zamfara, why should I die in a CNG explosion in Lagos?

Dishonesty of our people close doors for others. Two years ago, I met a man in my Akwa Ibom. Wife left him with 3 children. I bought him Keke 3.4M requesting he drives, refund my money, take the Keke, no interest. He started paying, after 5 months disappeared with Keke to Bakassi

@BalogunSonia4 They shouldn't be forced to, but they can be taught. And you can do so by telling them "thank you" and "please" whenever you asked them to help you with something. This is how you reinforce it
