Smartest thing Trump did was cutting ICE a military sized budget essentially building a force personally loyal to him knowing that organizations like the FBI were irredeemably full of traitors
But if ICE is running the TSA they aren’t deporting, unless they’re deporting people in line which will not only create spectacular opportunities for activist media to manufactured bad optics but will also triple wait times not alleviate them
If the logic is “suffer the pain because long term this means way more deportations” than I’m entirely onboard, but I doubt that’s the actual plan

A Seattle man who shot and killed an eight-month pregnant Korean-American woman and nearly killed her husband when they were driving to work has been found not guilty by reason of insanity.
Cordell Goosby m—rdered Elina Kwon and her unborn baby in June 2023 when they were stopped at a red light. Prosecutors did not charge him for killing the baby due to concerns about protecting abortion in the liberal state.
After hearing testimony from defense medical experts that Goosby was "insane" at the time of the shootings, the prosecution agreed to have the case ended through the not guilty motion.
Goosby will be committed to an institution and regularly evaluated to see if he is fit to be released to the public. ngocomment.com

A weird thing about all this is that we have a straight-up medieval guild which - during a damned doctor shortage - determines precisely how many docs there will be.
You can complete medical school, in cumulative good standing, and simply not even get a job OFFER. Changing this system would do a great deal to relax domestic/foreign hostilities in this field.

For context, the penalty for armed robbery is up to LIFE IMPRISONMEMT in places like Hong Kong, Japan, and the UAE

Judge Raquel West was seen torching 18-year-old Caden James Fontenette before handing out the sentence. "There was a time some years ago that there really wasn't even a question... State's attorneys were recommending youthful offenders probation. Let's give everybody an opportunity..." West said. "You don't have a good likelihood of being successful if I were to put you on probation... I'm going to sentence you to a term of 25 years." Fontenette pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery for a 2025 incident where he and two others robbed a convenience store at gunpoint. The suspects were caught on camera assaulting the store clerk. Fontenette will likely be in his 40s when he is released from prison.
