But here we are, sitting on a small blue rock, having a conversation about it. And that might be the most extraordinary thing of all.

I’ve personally spoken to several pilots over the last 12 years and asked them how often they have to dip the nose of the plane to accommodate curvature as they navigate the globe earth. They’ve all given me the same answer: the nose of the plane never dips. I also asked them what kind of surface they’re flying over - do they see any curvature as they fly or is it just a flat surface? They’ve all said the same: it’s flat.
