Introduced me to great tag team wrestling. Stan was great, but Dennis and Bobby will always be the Midnight Express to me. RIP.

The National Wrestling Alliance is saddened to note the passing of “Loverboy” Dennis Condrey, one of the most accomplished tag team wrestlers in history. A founding member of the legendary Midnight Express, Condrey’s most well-known partner was “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton. Managed by Jim Cornette, Condrey and Eaton captured tag gold across the U.S. South and reigned as NWA World Tag Team Champions for seven months in 1986. The Midnights’ feud with The Rock ‘n Roll Express defined a generation and propelled tag wrestling into the main event. As one of the most profitable rivalries of the 1980s the teams headlined countless live events. Condrey and Eaton followed with an intense series against The Road Warriors, culminating in an infamous scaffold match at Starcade ‘86: The Night of the Skywalkers. Soon after, as The Original Midnight Express, Paul E. Dangerously led “Loverboy” Dennis and partner “Ravishing” Randy Rose to the AWA World Tag Team Titles. The trio then jumped to NWA to begin a heated contest with Condrey’s former manager Cornette with Eaton and his new partner “Sweet” Stan Lane. During a career spanning 1973-2011, Condrey won more than 50 pro wrestling championships. A true legend in the sport, his legacy will continue for generations to come. The National Wrestling Alliance extends its most sincere condolences to the family, friends and fans of Dennis Condrey. RIP “Loverboy” Dennis.

Recalling this week in wrestling Twitter: - AEW continued their yearly tradition of having Revolution be an early contender for show of the year, albeit the usual brilliance was combined with the chaos of multiple exciting returns, as well as the return of Adam Copeland. - It was confirmed Toni Storm would be out indefinitely, which is terrible news due to the fact she’s incredible, albeit slightly offset by the likelihood than means no more Ronda fucking Rousey - A tone deaf and tasteless tweet from Ricochet saw unwashed single men do what they do best, and send abuse and death threats to a woman, leading to Samantha Irvin doing what we should all do in leaving this greasy cesspit normal people still know as Twitter. The anti-clean brigade also got mad at Sean Ross Sapp for having a day off work - Ricochet’s somewhat delayed, yet seemingly sincere apology saw unwashed, fuck it, same as above innit - WWE hit the heaviest heights for months with a groundbreaking 6.5/10 episode of Raw. If you’re served slop for months, even a mushroom seems exciting - Dynamite’s exceptional run came to a crashing end with a chaotic and largely unfulfilling episode on Wednesday, which led to triumphant celebrations from people who have been watching every single week for months, anticipating in loneliness the chance to not enjoy the show they are focusing their evening around - Brandon Thornton broke the story that Tony Khan was one of numerous people who tried to purchase WWE when it was up for sale in 2023 because majority shareholder Vince McMahon was a sexual predator. For the betterment of American wrestling not being owned by one capitalist again, he was beaten to the punch. But for the brief LOLs, what a fucking shame. People again got mad at Sean Ross Sapp - Oba Femi made the mistake of being interviewed and came across like a walking red flag who spent way too much time in NXT gobbling up the red pills on offer. Still, it now makes sense why Brock was more than happy to aid his ascent through the ranks as they bond over Joe Rogan’s mash potato brained opinions and the manosphere

I doubt a single person who has sent vitriolic abuse to Samantha Irvin gives a flying fuck about MS Ricochet said something in inexplicably bad taste and it was an awful thing to say. He has apologised, if you take that at face value that’s down to you. I can envision certain people taking it as an apology and others as another chance to pile on But I’m in no doubt whatsoever that none of the losers sending abuse are doing it for anything other reason than ‘durr tribalism’

Immune suppression fucking sucks…I finally had enough energy to go out so I went to Chaotic since I haven’t been to wrestling in forever. Of fucking course I got sick. It’s like I can’t do anything except lay here and watch life pass me by. Sorry, just having a little pity party😢😢😢

Jayson Tatum in his fifth game back from Achilles injury: 21 PTS, 8-18 FG, 2-8 3PT, 3-3 FT, 7 REB, 4 AST in 32 minutes He's got exactly 100 points in five games now since his return. Averaging 20 points, 8.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game. Wow.
