Missing being in Vegas so jumped into an OC.
All gas, no breaks on this one.
(I wouldn’t draft both Rodon and Cole in a Main but in an OC feels like a nice way to add possible upside that’s easy to cover for)

9. Right now there is one rookie hitter being drafted in the top-150 picks - Konnor is just inside.
At the end of the season - 10 (or more) rookie hitters will be in top-150
This is an incredible rookie hitter class and we’re collectively shrugging on them.

I have noticed Eugenio Suarez dropping well past ADP in recent drafts I’ve done.
Makes sense - SPs and closers rise, something has to fall.
Last year feels fluky - nobody sees him as a top-30 hitter.
Except he was also top-30 in 2024….
He’s a steal past pick 100 IMO

Trey Yesavage went pick in the 22nd round in the OC I’m doing tonight.
Am I worried about Yesavage?
Of course I am.
But after pick 225 - never mind 250 - the risk is worth the upside IMO.

@Paydirt_DFS And then go home/road splits - SPs on the road - they don’t win very often anymore.

@RobSilver One of my favorite DFS oriented stats is that SPs only win something like 30% of their starts, focusing on it as a stat is super pointless

One of the craziest stats for fantasy that nobody is willing to accept as true:
LA Dodgers starting pitchers won 49 games in 2025. Tied with the Athletics.
Dodgers SPs won 51 games in 2024.
That’s a win more than the Cardinals rotation over 2 years
Great team. Bad for wins.

@ilcano22 Because I actually understand what countries who join the EU need to commit to legally - and Canada would never actually agree to it. Nor frankly would Europe.

We have a free trade agreement with Europe - maybe we expand or improve it.
Totally there - I’m all in for more trade.

@meeeeeeeeeez_ He was hurt at the end of last year and has a history of injuries.
Given his cost, it’s at least a flashing yellow light to me.
But love the skills - so I get why he’s so tempting and I drafted him over the winter.

@AnthonyDiComo Bo isn’t a good shortstop- but he isn’t a good 3B either.
He isn’t THAT bad though.
If Lindor gets hurt in a game - or needs a day off - he is more than fine.

If the Mets don't carry Bruján, it allows them to take both Carson Benge and Mike Tauchman. That would leave the Mets without a true backup shortstop, but Bichette can play the position in a pinch. Even Brett Baty could theoretically do it in a blowout or emergency situation.

Regarding Bo Bichette starting at shortstop tomorrow, this was a plan the Mets drew up before spring training even began. It's extra relevant now, though, as team officials weigh the pros and cons of carrying a backup shortstop (Vidal Bruján) on their Opening Day roster.

To put an explanation point on this one - here are percentile projections for Butler.
The injury obviously worries me a bit in terms of the SBs. Platoon splits too.

3. There are 4 Athletics hitters going in the top-100 picks - Kurtz, Rooker, Langeliere and Soderstrom but the Athletics hitter who will finish highest on the player rater? Lawrence Butler whose power develops and he pushes a 30/30 season. (Like all 5 of them)
