A permanent solution to the traffic congestion in Khandala Ghat is being implemented through the #Missing_Link_Project. This approximately 13.3 km route stretches from Khopoli Exit to Kusgaon and includes two major tunnels along with two massive bridges. The 10.55 km tunnel in this project is the widest tunnel in India (more than 45 feet wide). It has been completed using the advanced Austrian Tunneling Method.
