@robmcthai And that’s why the PGAT makes $$$$. And has investors. How’s LIV doing financially?

is this Cadillac Championship open to the public? Is it open to players families? There is literally no one there

@NTPGolf66 @Robopz It's called financial analysis. It's not rocket science. It's how the stock market works. You look at the numbers for so long, you can predict outcomes. Just like Spirit Air. Maybe one day you'll understand.

@Robopz Agree from what I'm hearing. It was all good and PIF were committed until their uturn last week. Now people who predicted the demise 4 years ago are experts when the people with the money didn't appear to know 4 weeks ago. There is no worse dribble than the dribble in X.

I think likely LIV management were blindsided. I can only go by reports... but best as I can put the timeline together... • At LIV Riyadh in Feburary, Yasir apparently told players/staff the long term commitment to LIV was still in place. • Generalities of a revised 2026-30 PIF focus came out ~March 1 (day after war started), but seemed to raise only a few minor speculative concerns RE LIV. At least externally. • O'Niel comments prior to this year's Masters (and even early that week) seemed to indicate they thought they still had a long runway 2030-32... • But apparently by Sunday (Apr 12) of that week, things were changing fast. Word was circulating LIV was in trouble and high level LIV meetings were being put together. • Monday Q released his bombshell on the evening of Tuesday the 14th. NYTimes was in the process of buttoning up a larger story at the same time, and they and others were filling in the details thru the 15th... same day PIF's 2026-2030 plan was formalized and made public... by the end of the 15th, the 💩 really hit the fan frim all angles. • The LIV PR spin/denials and false media accusations were rapidly breaking down thru LIV Mexico and the next week. • Past Sun-Mon, word of LIV Louisiana cancellation was leaking. Confirmed Tue 28th • Later on same day and the next, word of PIF formally confirming they were done at end of season, and Yasir resigning from LIV came out... And here we are...

@Robopz @BobHarig @22michael3 So did the people running LIV know months prior and fail miserably or were they caught off guard?

Trying to convince AK to bring the belt buckle back for Virginia (this isn’t the first time time I’ve tried). No progress so far. But we now have proof he still has it.

Laughable. PIF had more $$$ than any Media company. They couldn't pay a media company enough to get LIV on the air! Tell me who would by an old fart team like Westwood and Poulter? Who would buy that Korean team? For 5 years that plan failed for the wealthiest investment fund on the planet. So you have the secret formula for success?

Annual cost of media rights. NFL: $10b EPL: $7.5b NBA: $7b MLB: $5b F1: $1.2b NHL: $1.2b PGAT: $1b This is why I believe a Media company buying the LIV Golf League is the best play. Imaging the money they could make from owing a pro sports league….sell off the teams to individual ownership groups and own the league and all its content.

So anytime a major league player/ athlete isn't where some feel they should be, it's the CEO or managers' fault. Rahm and Bryson seem very happy and dedicated to LIV golf in every recent interview I've seen. If they truly wanted to play in the PGAT event instead of LIV Virginia, they should simply boycott LIV and tell them why. Just think, if they did it for 3 or 4 events, a message might be sent.... Hmmmm...

Wrong. The point is: the top-4 betting favorites for the PGA Championship (and every 2026 major) are Scottie, Rory, Rahm and Bryson. Koepka is top-10 betting fav and box office. Yet: Scottie is sitting out. Rory is playing. Brooks is playing Myrtle Beach. While Bryson and Rahm are in LIV event at Trump DC. They should all be playing together at Quail Hollow if Rolapp was competent.

If you’re Cadillac (or any sponsor or fan) and watching this snoozefest at Trump Doral w the robotic Cam Young and emotionless Scottie Scheffler, you are wondering how the PGA TOUR has so mismanaged things that four of this generation’s most electric brightest box office stars are sitting home. Is that good for golf? Brian Rolapp has failed to deliver. #PGATOUR #LIVGOLF

Before calling it snooze fest, shouldn't you wait for the ratings to come out? That would be the metric to use to see if it really failed, as you say it did. If Rolapp indeed failed to deliver, why are ratings soaring? Even the Zurich? If Rolapp failed, please explain what happened to LIV? Something was a miss wasn't it?

Well another disappointing weekend for the LIV boys. Both tours, the DP and the weaker Asian. But in the Asian, being pretty week, a few guys popped up. When you see them at Virginia, where they'll be in their "safe atmosphere", tell them to cheer up, maybe they're just scared of the future? Also, if Alix Partners are coming to LIV, I can tell you for CERTAIN, get your resume ready. I personally saw what they did in Detroit. It's not good for the employees.

@chaddwill Did you not like Liv because a person of color owned the organization? Rather keep it white owned because that's better, right? Probably think that tiger woods almost ruined golf also

This thing about LIV losing their sugar daddy ie Saudi Fund. If it’s true, and I’d say it probably is, I’d make every player that left the PGA Tour earn their way back. No exceptions, no excuses.

Once Alix Partners come in, it’s simply a wind down operational procedure. Unless there are viable assets to distribute. Alix is there to make sure payrolls are trimmed, partner contracts are voided or forgiven, and leases are terminated. We saw a lot of J Alix in Detroit during the auto crisis. He’s not the guy that is going to save LIV. LIV fans might think he is. He’s the last guy you want to see at your company, and when he comes in, you are gone. I can tell you all about it from experience. His specialty is unwinding major distressed situations.

Brandel Chamblee was never a good golfer, and is an even worse commentator on The Golf Channel. He is mean, divisive and shows blatant favoritism and hate for certain golfers. I change the channel when he is on, and wish he would be fired.

J Alix in 2007, 2008, came into Detroit and chopped and decimated the automotive supply industry. He also allowed GM to emerge from bankruptcy in a short time by eliminating GMs debt to a lot of suppliers, and putting the Government ahead of the bondholders... Many of Those suppliers are gone now. I can't see how he can benefit LIV with minimal assets to value, and it's "goodwill" so to speak are it's players who will most likely be gone.

🚨💰⛳️ #NEW — Sky Sports is reporting that LIV Golf have hired AlixPartners, LLP who specialize in restructuring, to help the league form a new business plan in an effort to find new investors. Sky also reports that LIV will soon tap a top investment bank to help with its funding efforts. Do you think this firm will save LIV Golf?

From what I know about Alix, they're s great firm for restructuring and turnaround. They can value assets and structure reorganizations giving companies new life. But my question is, what are LIVs assets? None of us have seen it....at least I haven't. I believe most of LIVs investments are capital, so there's plenty of negative or zero equity there. I don't know if they borrowed from any companies to fund their capital, so there's probably zero long term debt out there. There's probably lots of short term debt. This will be a challenge for any company to keep Liv alive.

The PGAT is just fine without those carcinogens. The Private Equity group is a blessing for professional golf. The individuals in that business are all in the major sports businesses. Listen, call your LIVtard pals, all you guys sit down, have an intervention, maybe invite a psychiatrist or psychologist to your meeting. You'll recover fine. If that doesn't work, have a Seance for LIV and just maybe you can talk to the dead.

An investment idea for @livgolf_league - have all the captains pool their massive sign on bonuses from PIF into a consortium & buy the league. It would have to be around $1bn & they can back the concept they committed so strongly to. Would be akin to SSG’s investment into PGAT.
