@thisha_omuhle Losing me with this one. After we’d learned cursive my teachers told us all to print because they couldn’t read our writing. This was in the mid 1980s.

“Why do our children need cursive?!” 😭 I get asked this question quite often. So I’m going to share the importance of cursive handwriting 🌸 especially in Early Childhood.

Heartbreaking conversation with Y6 girl this afternoon who told me she was quitting sport. She is incredible at sport. She excels. Football, netball, basketball… name it. I was pretty devastated. Wish I’d been in school last few months to talk to her & her family about

@TwinklSLT @OlkimGar I don’t have an EYFS in my school as we are a juniors, but as my son is starting in reception in September, I can well imagine what it’s like getting a new cohort in and trying to settle them into a new place. @TwinklSLT @Mamandaharrison At uni, I used to feel bitter about being classed as a 'disadvantaged pupil' at school. I did well but looking back, it wasn't my social or economic situation which allowed for that so maybe I was lucky or my school made up for it with their provision.. #TheLeadersTeam
