Youth football updates for next season has under 7s changing from 5 a side to 3v3 with no goalkeepers. Am I a dinosaur at 39 or is that a madness? Genuinely interested to hear views. 3v3 is a training session, not an organised fixture in my opinion

@AvfcU We don’t need any, we need adult facilitators who are happy oversee a game, not ref it as such 1 adult to 6 kids

@AvfcU The group of 2 changes between kids who are there so everyone suffers a bit, the issue is with adults obviously who want 11 a side by time they are 10

@AvfcU No not at all that’s the beauty of it, yes we want multiples of 3 but a group with 2 can play against 3 , games only last around 8 minutes so not too much pain for them. I’ve looked at a 7 a side pitch at ours and can potentially get 8 pitches on it, 42 kids
