I can feel myself getting grumpy over this optional addition to the game so I’m gonna hold my tongue. I just think the need to travel the way you do is kinda core to the game.

I modified by Anki cards so they'll optionally show me other flashcards using the same kanji and it has IMMENSELY helped my retention. Being able to draw the mental connections between one word and another via shared characters so easily is massive.
