Proud parent moment tonight. My daughter received the Star Greenhand award tonight. She has really enjoyed and thrived in FFA under her advisor Ms. Schaumburg leadership. She has launched a fantastic program here at Central Plains for her first year teaching here.

My MIL got on a horse tonight up at the feedyard. Said it’d been 20 years (which actually means over 30) since she’d rode. She’s almost 80 years old - age is just a number my friends.

Days like today I sure do miss"Honk's" or "the 156 lounge" as it was officially called. It was a little dive bar restaurant straight east of my house. Best Steak for miles around.Cold beer and nice people. If it was raining you didn't set in the booths cause the roof leaked.
