Great effort! I DNFed my first 100 and had not made it as far as you did (50 miles). Took me several years to get the nerve to try again and then made it.
I think the DNF in a 100 is healthy - it helps you realize and learn so may important things including not being fearful to try again! You’ve got this!

First ever 100 mile race. First DNF. Prepared well, put the time in and it just wasn’t meant to be…this time. It was so fun to get to lace em up with my coach, @mikeddonatelli , and then watch him absolutely crush the race!! Still proud to have made it 100k. Onto the next!

I ran my first ever trail 50k yesterday in shoes that @tim_roozendaal recommended based on my gait analysis he did. Can confirm no injuries, no blisters, no pain after a long, hot day! It’s worth it to hire @tim_roozendaal and get in the right shoes for you!

Guys please don't be like @mikeddonatelli. Always use this checklist before committing to a shoe: 1. Does this severe the intended purpose? (Speed, race, recovery, easy run or something in between) 2. How is the fit around your foot? (Size, pressures points, toe box shape, heel cap) 3. How do you like the running mechanics? (Does it feel natural or is it forcing you to do something different?) If all 3 line up, then it's time to choose a colour 🌈
