Today, April 7, 2026, the City of Kentwood, MI officially recognizes International Day of Reflection on the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi. Thank you, Mayor Stephen for this historic proclamation and your leadership in honoring the victims and survivors. @RwandaInUSA @IbukaUsa

As we mark Kwibuka, we honor the victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi and reflect on its unspeakable horrors. The United States stands with Rwanda in unity and reconciliation and firmly rejects denial or minimization of the genocide.
