Our early research @RCSI_Irl explored surgical handover in both the literature and practice. We reviewed interventions to improve handover, then assessed post-call handover against international guidelines, identifying barriers and opportunities for improvement. @MPS_Medical

Interns who were fully involved had significantly faster response times and relied more on memory from verbal handover. Reduced involvement led to slower responses and reliance on less efficient info sources, potentially impacting workflow across clinical teams #ClinicalHandover
