Not enough people talk about Bobby Bonilla: • .279/.358/.472 (.829 OPS, 124 OPS+) • 2010 H, 408 2B, 287 HR, 1173 RBI • 6x ASG, 3x SS, won 1997 WS with FLA • Higher OPS than Winfield, Molitor, Beltre • More HR than Torre, Yount, Clemente • Top-3 MVP finishes in consecutive years • Top-200 all-time in HR, 2B, RBI, BB, XBH • Played 100+ games at 4 different positions • Hilarious contract that runs through 2035 Bonilla received just 0.4% of the vote on his only HOF ballot appearance in 2007. I wouldn't call it an injustice, but he had a wonderful career as a versatile, slugging journeyman that appeared at 6 different positions for 8 different teams. People talk about *the contract*, but not about what a great player he was at the height of his powers.
