A huge win for young workers! Unfair junior rates for 18-20 year olds have been scrapped by the Fair Work Commission - a decision the Greens have long campaigned for. Real wages of workers have gone backwards as inflation has soared, leaving our young workers behind.

@AmericanExpress your decreasing benefits associated with your Platinum Card in Australia will see me cancelling my card prior to the next renewal. A sentiment I see repeated by many online. You might want to reconsider.

Petrol in Perth (probably already has on east coast) is set to go down after 6am. 😳 Not the normal action but the PM’s fuel excise relief kicks in. 10 cents a litre seems to be the relief some slightly more . It’s something I guess.

@why_is_it_so @HaveeSnowball @Sauronlordking WA has had a gas reservation policy since the mid 2000’s. I’d suggest Keating floating the dollar / deregulating our financial markets was the seed that became the housing affordability problem. The artificial inflating of our pop’n has just exacerbated these problems.

@HaveeSnowball @Sauronlordking No actually. John Howard set up the blueprint of our 🇦🇺 destruction with no gas reservation policy, giving away our gas and resources for free. Unrestrained Negative Gearing, CGT Discount and THE MASS IMMIGRATION PONZI SCHEME, his Big Australia Policy. Adopted by every Fed Govt!

Kevin Rudd signalled the start of 'Modern Australia'. While some may say the beginning of the end of Australia was with Gough Whitlam, I would say it was actually Kevin Rudd. Simply a traitor. A stripper loving, tax payer rorting traitor. He was the one who started on the Big Australia BS. The mass migration, multicultural rhetoric on steroids. The one who sent housing prices sky rocketing. Just an awful human being.

Today 63 of Australia’s best minds, including three Nobel prize winners, have written to the PM asking him to immediately boost medical research funding. The letter was led by Prof. John Fraser, who has pioneered world-leading bionic hearts and lungs technology - technology now being developed in the US. Professor Fraser is just one of the many talented researchers within our medical research community - scientists who could do more and develop more if we supported them better. Without investment from the federal government, Australia will continue to generate brilliant ideas for others to commercialise and benefit from. In the upcoming federal budget, the government must spend the money we’ve already put aside for medical research. It'll help our health and help our economy. Find the full story on page 10 of today's Australian newspaper.

Question: Why do you think the Australian Greens can't seem to bust out of the 10-14% range of the vote? Hostile media? Too beuigose? Their candidates? Their messaging? Their Their name? Is Australia just innately pro-war, pro-racism, pro-fossil fuels? The party seems stuck.

@Reel_One_2250 @Peter_Fitz Exactly. Given the battery warranty periods they allow you to prepay 10 years of electricity bills.

@Peter_Fitz From bills? What about the capital outlay? Then you have the replacement cost? Also they keep changing the rules so the grid always wins. Your battery can be used to supply the grid. If there's excess pwr in the grid your panels can be switched off upstream of battery.

How can one hate batteries? They have been far and away the greatest tech break-through for Australians since forever, freeing people from electricity bills, bolstering our energy independence. 40K last year. 500 K by the end of this year! Crazy to oppose them.
💧David Wilson@duuuuuug

@Peter_Fitz @colonelhogans He really hates batteries. Yet another LNP scare campaign, challenging integrity of the Cheaper Batteries program. Also, offshoring of Oz mfg in the 80s and 90s were commercial decisions made by corporates, not govt.

@taipan168 Perpetual victims. A bunch of methed up bogans in Perth who complain because people from Sydney and Melbourne dare to ask to benefit from the magic dirt that's dug up in the Pilbara, 2000 odd km away from them but somehow it's magically their money for some reason.

𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗽 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵 Think renewables are the cheapest energy source? Wrong. We've got places like South Australia where "free" solar causes prices to crash negative at noon and spike to insane highs later, proving the real cost is in the backups and wiring no one talks about. Steve Carson's deep dive smashes this green myth wide open—why are we ignoring the bills? Fascinating read. Read the full article: wattsupwiththat.com/2026/03/27/ren…

@DAJKeffa @RM_19844 Not uncommon (wife worked in our state’s ed dept for a while). Not sure how it’s solved. Perhaps reducing class size limits as a first pass (however that just exacerbates current shortages).

A reminder that gas is NOT a vital industry to Australia – if anything, it COSTS the Australian economy. Australia Institute research shows a 25% tax on gas exports could solve the gas crisis – and raise $17 billion every year. ✍ Sign the petition: theaus.in/40WQd2O
