I was with @PatStrathman and Tiffany Daniels at a restaurant in Sioux City. We went from a big win for @coachshowman to limiting fans to no game to going home for emergency meetings on how to move forward. Not how I wanted to start my first 6 months at KWU.

@dobalina54 @jhoeck @kelseydennehytv 100%, and once they get to college, it's proven that multiple involvements lead to a higher chance of success. That could be 2 sports (tough, and rare), or, usually, it looks like sport + club/activity/fraternity/sorority/etc.
That all starts with multiple sports before college.

@kelseydennehytv This is a culture issue. Athletic departments that promote multi-sport athletes lead to student athletes developing a stronger sense of community/shared identity. Kids should have a favorite sport they love… but go compete for your school-wherever you can.

A sports specialization study at UCLA found that 88% of NCAA Division I athletes played an average of two to three sports growing up.
I spoke with a Sioux Falls athlete and trainer who have seen the direct impacts of the multi-sport experience.
