Take that grounder from Acuna. Antonacci has the range, but then the throw never had a chance. Bob has had that same play numerous times and seems to get an out every time. This isn’t a knock on Antonacci, it is an absurdly hard play that Bob makes look routine constantly.

Simply, if you can’t/won’t pronounce someone’s name correctly, in broadcasting or life in general, you’re flat out choosing to be lazy and disrespectful

For example, I asked 2 coaches before interviews this past weekend how to pronounce their names before we went live because I was unsure of how to say it and didn’t want to botch it on-air. They both happily confirmed the correct pronunciation and were appreciative. It’s easy.
