Please join us in congratulating Scott Hayes on his promotion to Fire Engineer. Hayes joined the Sacramento Fire Department in February 2017. This week, he was promoted at Station 43, surrounded by family, friends and colleagues. Way to go, Engineer Hayes!

Today at 1:59pm, crews arrived to rollover vehicle accident on Greenback ln in front of Sams Club. Thankfully everyone got out safe, no injuries reported.

The vehicle battery compartment spontaneously caught fire while it was traveling freeway speeds on EB Hwy 50. The fire was extinguished with approx 6,000 gallons of water, as the battery cells continued to combust. Thankfully no injuries were reported.
