This Luka Doncic run keeps getting crazier. 60 on the second night of a back to back is insane.

As I think about cracking a joke about Luka having the most impressive scoring game involving the Miami Heat this season, it occurs to me that he’s probably the likeliest 84-point scorer in the NBA solely because of how badly his home crowd will want him to be the one to top Bam.

@SamQuinnCBS Shai isn't even the best defender on his own team that title would go to Dort and Caruso and he also has a DPOTY candidate in Chet who is able to clean up Shai's mistakes

My biggest gripe with the 65-game rule is that you are actively telling people that you don’t trust voters to be able to discern between like 62 games played and 67 games played.

Tracy McGrady says Bam Adebayo dropping 83 points on the Wizards is proof that there isn’t enough talent in the league for an expansion (🎥 @dpshow )

Nobody can give a good reason as to why SGA is the MVP besides “SGA’s team is better.” Since when was that the criteria for MVP?

The wemby glaze will make ppl act like they value defensive impact more than they actually do and it will only ever apply to wemby, these same pll wont/dont rank gobert top 25, chet top 15 etc it wont apply for anyone else

I cannot understand, for the life of me, the Jaylen Brown propaganda. The recent takes on him being so thoroughly divorced from reality is a disservice to the great season he’s having.

There is no way the 65-game rule should still be there next year. It is clearly a terrible rule and as I have said all along, it will have a big negative impact on long term legacy when great players have emptier award resumes because they played like 6 less games than someone not as good. Guys dropping out of the MVP and All-NBA race because they are just short of an arbitrary line that their competitors are just above is BS.

@SamQuinnCBS It just seems that like in 2023-2024 season when Luka puts up stats but team isn’t winning even when facing heavy injuries, voters saying that he needs to win games. Then to end the season he starts winning (Mavs won 16 of 18 to end season), and they just hold on to their votes.

My view on this year’s MVP race has been that SGA’s superior defense, efficiency and ability to limit turnovers edges out Luka’s slight volume edge and big playmaking and rebounding edges. I don’t care much about team record but SGA has that as well, with plenty of OKC injuries.
