I usually share a CEC update with North West members either the same evening or the following morning of a CEC meeting. However, following the adoption of the CEC Code of Conduct (Section 8), I’m no longer able to do this. The Code requires that no reports are published until after the Chair’s Report, which must be released within 48 hours of the meeting. As a result, I’ll now be publishing my North West report to members on Wednesday 22nd March. We’ve made strong progress and I support this change. It should help manage expectations and gives me the time to produce a more considered and thorough update.

**North West Pre-CEC North West Members Update** As your North West representative on the Central Executive Committee, I wanted to share what’s coming up at this Sunday’s CEC meeting It’s a packed agenda (I am still unsure whether we have enough time but I'll continue pressing for longer meetings especially in the formation period) focused on shaping the direction, structure and values of our party.
