i hate to say it but a 1% tax on property over $5m you don’t live in is hard to argue against for the average voter
like, the solution is simply “actually live in NYC”, “what are you so broke you can’t afford 1%?”, and “well you could just leave NYC”
all are ego hits none of these property owners don’t wanna take and have a hard time refuting
love or hate him, he’s actually doing something vs most mayors and tells you in the slickest way possible

Both of these people had valid work permits and pending hearings on their asylum claims. But because simply having a hearing doesn't protect you from arrest, they've now been jailed and will have to seek asylum from detention, away from their patients, and in terrible conditions.

Que estén cancelando a Danny Ocean por esta publicación me llama mucho la atención y eso que a mi ni me gusta su música pero lamentablemente tendré que “defenderlo”
Primero: no entender la música / el arte como una industria es de donde viene el problema de la falta de lógica de la cancelación
Los factos:
1. El ritmo de consumo / producción de música ha aumentado. Antes un artista / banda podía sacar un disco nuevo cada 3 años y no había problema porque el ritmo de creación y producción de la música era alto. Hoy en día eso cambio. Canciones más cortas, mayor cantidad de herramientas digitales para hacer la música, canciones que logran millones de reproducciones pero quedan en el “olvido” más rápido porque como se produce más música que antes un nuevo hit que desplaza al anterior pasa más rápido
2. En ese sentido el arte como industria es simplemente la estandarización del proceso creativo. (Entiéndase proceso creativo como todo el proceso de creación) pueden ver las películas de Marvel para que vean lo que es un proceso creativo estandarizado.
Para mantener el ritmo el artista debe de aplicar las tecnologías.
Por eso existe la categoría “indie” que es lo que se sale de la industria.
Pero todo lo demás es una industria, la cultura en general es una industria.
Negarlo es no querer abrirse a la globalización.

Replies to this are either: make more neurosurgeons. This assumes at some level healthcare is a limitless resource. Which is just stupid. Other replies are: just triage the critical cases. That means the other cases don’t actually have a “right” to healthcare.
