dating in SF is easy if youโre gay coded but straight
i know almost everyone in the comments and truth be told they are kinda gay coded in one form of the other or their gfs have all mentioned at one point they thought they were gay at first

gut tells me sf dating is ez if youโre slightly normal. everyone is smart and interesting so you just have to find the one hot person. while in nyc everyoneโs hot so you have to talk to 5 people to find 1 interesting person. easier to scan for looks than to filter for smarts

thereโs a solid 50% of SF that isnโt like you and is rapidly filling up with striver types
most of my female friends have left SF, and the newcomers (of both genders) are increasingly insufferable linkedin types who care more about your cap table and robinhood account than having kids someday
to clarify, as soon as you exit SF city itself this gets dramatically is better
like the dates with people from Daly City and Alameda have been miles better and they also work in tech as founders
thereโs a difference when these types actually interact with normal people and specifically kids in their daily life, or go to church
