One year ago I downloaded Claude Code I had already fallen in love hard with the Claude family of models. They'd been my daily drivers over ChatGPT for months if not longer. I downloaded the research preview, fired it up in my Kitty terminal. BLOWN AWAY Finally I could produce code at the speed necessary for me to get meaningful feedback loops. I produced a Neo4J baked concept relationship system prototype in a few hours. I wouldn't have known where to even start three years ago, and the learning curve would have been prohibitive for output. Even cooler, the models can talk to me in Japanese! Cue my AI Coding Anime Girl companions! Who receive all my headpats for their work! That was the start of the OBSESSION. Every day hours and hours, making things. But my story was different than many others: I didn't pump out a million iOS apps I didn't get to $10K a month in a weekend I made a neovim extension in Lua to help me post to X, Threads, and BlueSky For six months I argued with it. 206 commits from March to September of 2025. Threads gave me headaches with their multi-step process to authenticate, and my NeoVim extension kept saving the access token in scientific notation! And don't even GET ME STARTED on BlueSky. Using an OAuth pattern that was technical in DRAFT not approved, and only allowing me to authenticate for 15 minutes at a time! But it got made...and it sorta worked. Yet all throughout that process, my heart cried out for more: - Scheduling across various social networks - Data feeds of posts across those networks like what I'm used to working with in my role as a Data Engineer. - Real analytics, not just a dashboard that showed past performance. Companies themselves are stuck on very limited analytics patterns, and there's so much more to be done. - A real software product, built beginning to end And above all: Confident prescriptive insights to more reliably take me from 0 -> 1 on the various social media networks. I got to work. Backend repo started 9/20/2025. Frontend repos started 11/09/2025. Days Backend in-progress: 154 Days Frontend in-progress: 104 Countless Claude Code sessions $100/month plan -> $100/month plan with extra usage -> $200/month plan 😱. 4 AM grind sessions. RIP my weekends. Dead ends, too many. But that's all done now. I have a software product in a form I can finally get people using. I have 5 or so alpha testers in right now, and one of them demonstrated my first shipped functionality today!!!! There's a long way to go before my vision is consummated. But I have every confidence that I'll get there. And now I have my very own OpenClaw to help! First project: 6 months of tinkering Second project (current): 3 months of building 50% drop in timeline. 10 years since my exhibition "Would I Lie To You? The Art of Politics and Propaganda". Ten augmented reality portrait paintings of world leaders created with oil paint and rubbish I found on the street. It explored politicals, manipulation and media narratives. In 2020 I posted this interview thinking things couldn’t get any worse. Little did we know... Here we are now in 2026. Sometimes art becomes more relevant with time.

I love creating art. I’m not great at shilling it. What I do create, though, is timeless work: masterpieces born from devotion, meditation, and lived experience during some of the hardest years of my life and my homeland's history. For me, art is not content. It’s a lifelong practice. When someone collects one of my works, the exchange is simple: I receive the means to continue: to buy food for my children, to pay for the tools I need, to complete the many works-in-progress that are waiting to be finished. And the collector receives a piece of a deeply intentional, spiritual body of work that I truly believe will endure. I haven’t sold a 1/1 in several months. These past winter have been about survival: navigating war in Ukraine without heat and electricity, relocating to a small town, slowly rebuilding stability for my family. I’m now beginning to offer sound healing sessions locally, which brings me inner peace and helps others reconnect with theirs. But building that from scratch for new people also requires time and resources for advertising it. Art is how I express my spiritual path. Sound healing is how I embody it. Collecting is how you participate in it. As collectors, you decide where energy flows. You shape culture by what you choose to support. I know this firsthand: I’ve supported countless of artists whenever I had the ability to do so.
