The Satly L1 testnet phase was a major success! The chain ran smoothly from day one and gave us a clear picture of how people want to use Bitcoin as both gas and a transaction rail.
We are now shutting down this version of the L1 testnet so we can shift our full attention to the Satly app, which is powered by Bitcoin on Avalanche C-Chain.
All Bit Points accrual records have been safely preserved. Thank you to everyone who jumped in and helped us test what a Bitcoin powered blockchain could feel like.
A number of developers built on the chain and helped push its limits. Decentralized casino by @ferdyfishh and Cards404 by @smolrun drove meaningful usage and gave us great insight into how people interact with our vision.
Satly L1 highlights:
• Chain deployed in January 2025
• 10 Validators, 3 RPC nodes, Gasless faucet, block explorer, and builder hub.
• 600k transactions
• 100 percent uptime and transaction success
• 400 individual wallets with an average of 50 daily active users
• Fees generated: 4.733 Bitcoin
Founders @ExcelBaller and @ChrisFusillo are now focused on the next chapter. The Satly app is scheduled for mainnet early 2026 and represents the continuation of what we started on the testnet.
You can still visit the testnet version at satly.com, send Bitcoin via email, spin the wheel, and collect Bit Points.
Every bit of activity helps us refine the experience as we move toward a simple, fast, low cost way to send Bitcoin to anyone, anywhere.
