Hi @TfL Where exactly is the sink hole on Queens Road #SW19? Can only see unattended @thameswater works and nothing happening. If large trucks can drive along the road, why not a bus?

@Merton_Council your new process for setting up e-visitor permits is one of the most complicated processes I have experienced, you really need to revisit this.

We’ve changed the way we issue visitor parking permits The first time you buy one on the new system, we will need to check and approve your application – this may take up to one working day Find out more 👉 merton.gov.uk/streets-parkin…

@KirstyWarwick @MeristemDesign @Merton_Council They are lovely but do hope funds will always be available to maintain their beauty. Can only envisage they might become neglected once the good deed has been completed 🌿🍃

@nicscho Thanks for sharing. Still once a week or fortnight deliveries in Wimbledon too, including strange bulk deliveries on Sunday evening.

The quality of @Merton_Council Cabinet meetings have gone downhill A stream from Maison Alambritis (½ mile away) who couldn't be bothered to attend in person & audio from the Civic Centre (Committee Rooms E or CE in pic) No opposition Cllrs (used to see Con & Ind in attendance)

@AJ_Fairclough Has the system flaw been fixed or are there plans to address this? Many residents on X have highlighted this fault, even from the very early days of its use in the borough.

@chris_eud @MrsTateMerton @JeniferGouldCH There are lots of places that doesn't work though - for example, I regularly report Wilton Grove and Merton Hall Gardens and there is no action (also within the last 12 months we discovered a flaw in the system that was marking some things as 'fixed' automatically).

I spotted this leaflet on a street near where I live, shortly after the election. I've been keeping an eye on when it gets removed so we can tell how often the street is swept. Merton Council's contractor is supposed to sweep regularly. It's been here over a month to date!

@CyclingMerton I’d love my local Councillors to come walk with me and see the impact of overhanging hedges from gardens. Overgrown trees plus the rest. It’s such a mission to just use the pavements in @Merton_Council .. but as they all blocked me, not much chance of that happening

This, pretty much everywhere. Active travel infrastructure is substandard to start with, and just gets worse due to lack of maintenance. We have to chivvy the council every single year to do vegetation cutback.

Next week marks the start of Plastic Free July, an initiative challenging us to reduce our single-use plastic waste for an entire month.@PlasticEveryday. How to: ditch pre-bagged fruit & veg & opt for loose options; use a refillable water bottle; reuse bags.

@nicscho @MarkGale It's amazing that parties of all colours can get away with presenting inaccurate information in flyers. If a business put misleading info in an advert they'd be hauled up by the @ASA_UK

This is a funny flyer. The bullet points why @WimbledonLabour is the Anti-Tory vote in #Wimbledon 1️⃣#Its1997Again (see point 4) 2️⃣Remember the last election (even if Mayoral elections) but forget latest #GE2019 3️⃣Just a nonsense claim not backed up by ANY poll data 4️⃣#ItsNot2019 (forget the latest election results, but remember 27 years ago) Alternatively there are actually organisations which independently advise on Anti-Tory votes, they say voting for Labour (in Wimbledon) could see a win for the Tory candidate. Google search tactical voting sites - all agreeing not to back Eleanor.
Iain Anderson@iain_w_anderson

So proud to be backing @eleanorSW19 @UKLabour - we need a new local MP who can work with the new @Keir_Starmer government our country needs

As we all swelter in the heat, does anyone know how the 10,000 @Merton_Council trees (AKA as tree whips) planted last year are fairing? Have any of them survived? 🍃🌿🌳🥵
