global hegemon, we need to focus on making sure both our nation and our continent can stand on their own as much possible. And if the Persian Gulf or Suez Canal get shut down in the future? Not our problem, someone else can fix it. 3/

isolated and untouchable in the world (nuclear Armageddon scenarios aside). By controlling the N Pacific & N Atlantic, we also control Canada & Mexico, btw. We're not there yet. But as we hopefully roll back globalization, and stop attempting to be 2/ x.com/SaysSimulation…

They mostly don't overlap. By far the most important supply route for the US is the North Pacific, that's where we get the great majority of our Asian imports. The main European chokepoints are the Strait of Hormuz, Strait of Malacca, and the Red Sea/Suez Canal. 1/

Yes, in combination with my supply route thread (next post), this is the fall-back scenario for the US, and I think we need to be moving in that direction. We need to control the North Pacific, North Atlantic, North America - and we are one solid Great Power, the most 1/

@SaysSimulation Few appreciate 90% of US GDP is domestic + Mexico + Canada. US is not highly exposed to trade, and ironically less as we let our manufacturing be hollowed.

@SirDeBeaujeu I've been opposed to this war because it doesn't make sense from a strategic perspective, among other reasons. The US needs an organized process of retreating from being global hegemon to hemispheric hegemon, while maintaining our military base. Using up our weapons in the

@SaysSimulation What difference do you make between US and EU supply chains? They largely overlap. And btw Europe used to protect more globally its supply chain. The US, together with USSR, killed it in 1956 with the Suez crises.

@SaysSimulation I would simplify it a bit. There are 4 Tier one power blocs in the world. US, China, Russian and Europe. They don't always get along and often compete but 3 of the power blocs reaaaalllyyy don't like the 4th.

First level. The RW base tends to view Europe as military freeloaders who insult us & see themselves as being more sophisticated. Bad combination. Second level. The European people didn't do this to us, rather, our own "elites" did. Part of the trans-Atlantic elite alliance 1/

MAGA accounts on here routinely express more hatred, rejection, and vilification of Europeans than they do of their country’s genuine geopolitical rivals and enemies. It’s amazing but true.

Straits of Hormuz & Malacca that will become very important in the coming months, because the Asian countries that export to us do rely upon them Trump's been repeatedly trying to talk about this - we don't need the Persian Gulf or Red Sea kept open nearly as much as Europe does

We hardly use those relative to Europe, just as you hardly use the North Pacific or Panama Canal compared to us. Simple geography. Our greatest shared supply interest is the North Atlantic, which, of course, connects us. We do have an indirect exposure to the 2/

@SteveDavies365 Our previous elites wouldn't have liked it all, that's why we're trying to replace them with something much better. Good luck with you guys on doing the same.

@SaysSimulation How will your ruling elite feel about the last part? Particularly because it would have to involve a rapprochement with Russia to work.

The trade relationship needs to be redefined to the benefit of American workers, where many jobs and industries are on-shored again. At that point, we'll be free to be best buds with our European cousins, as we should be. It's for the best, for both sides. 5/

NATO needs to end, and that's being accelerated right now, as a result of European reactions to the war in Iran. Europe needs to remilitarize to the extent of being able to defend itself and its own global supply chains, we're done with doing that for you. 4/

This isn't rocket science, it's been used many times in the past. Times of economic distress are sometimes when the Left takes control - and they can also be when the Right takes control. The Left will be doing battle to benefit, they need to be met head on and defeated. 5/

Focus the justified anger of people who are hurting, and use this as the mechanism for a wholesale destruction of much of the Left's sources of power, while accomplishing large scale remigration (this could also work in Europe). 4/

Here's an example of flipping negative energy into positive energy. We may have global recession & inflation on the way. Negative - we're doomed! Positive - what a great opportunity to go after pervasive financial frauds from the Left, particularly immigrants! 1/
Labrador Skeptic@SaysSimulation

There is way too much negative energy in the online RW. We have an enormous opportunity to navigate change & chaos and to come through it so we start 2029 more firmly in control with better leadership. Focus on taking advantage to take power, don't fear losing it.
