How's it going on your planet? Here on Earth we're experiencing the hottest planet in over 120,000 years, much hotter than at any other time human civilization has existed, mainly due to having the most atmospheric CO2 in over 4 million years, with much hotter times ahead.

This is global warming folks.🤨 It's the end result of 150 years of rampant global industrialization, releasing GIGATONS of greenhouse gases that trapped massive amounts of energy in the oceans and atmosphere. Warming up the planet to where the life as we knew it is finished.📈

The "more people die from cold" argument. Classic. Let's do this. Yes, cold kills more people than heat - currently. That's the entire point of the study you're mocking. The ratio is shifting. Fast. Here's what the research actually shows: as the planet warms, cold deaths decline modestly while heat deaths spike dramatically, and the net result is more total deaths, not fewer. A 2021 Lancet study across 43 countries found that for every cold death avoided by warming, nearly two heat deaths are added. The math doesn't work in your favor. But let's talk about what the Washington Post study actually says, since you clearly didn't read it. It's about physical inactivity, people retreating indoors during extreme heat events, reducing exercise, increasing cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and mental health crises. That's not gloom. That's epidemiology. Also, "more people die from cold" globally is true largely because of poverty, inadequate housing, and fuel insecurity in developing nations. Climate change is making all three worse, not better. The people dying from cold today aren't dying because it's too cold. They're dying because they can't afford to stay warm. Want to help them? Stop blocking the clean energy transition that would lower their energy bills. Gloom is pretending a shifting death toll is good news because you misread the direction of travel.

"Scientists don't want you to know this" What? Have you ever met a scientist? This is like saying chefs don't want you to taste their food. They are desperate for you to be informed, they will often give you information for free, to walk you through your misunderstandings.

The right wing papers are saying the pension age needs to be raised to 75. I counter, the number of billionaires needs to be reduced to 0. That will affect 0.00006% of people, and they will still be far too rich. But it will pay for pensions, healthcare, housing and much more.

This is false, Spain didn’t have a nationwide blackout caused by renewables. The grid is designed to handle multi-GW losses. Inverter trips can occur, but major outages are usually transmission cascades—not “wind and solar collapsing the grid.”

They fear us because we’ve realised something. Energy doesn’t have to come from oil fields, pipelines or power stations anymore. It can come from rooftops. And once people control their own energy… the old system loses its power.
