If America cannot feed itself, America cannot remain strong. Yesterday at the White House, @POTUS stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the farmers, ranchers, and producers who feed, fuel, and sustain this nation.
Under the failed Biden Admin, farmers watched input costs — fertilizer, seed, equipment — explode 30 to 40 percent while they barely scraped by year after year. They were even banned from fixing their own tractors because of insane environmental rules. We’re DONE with that.
We’re slashing regulations so American companies can build tractors cheaper and faster. We’re restoring the right to repair. We’re lowering costs, expanding markets, and cutting the red tape that’s choking rural America.
This is existential. If we keep losing our farmers and ranchers, if we keep offshoring our food supply and importing more of what we eat, we don’t just lose an industry — we lose our country and our freedom as we know it.
America’s farmers and ranchers are not an afterthought. And right now, all of America is leaning in to back them. 🇺🇸

@iamyourfarmer Whenever I see an 8RX on a cart I think damn I want to get to that stage in my career.
English

I don’t know where this fits, but when ever I see an 8RX on a grain cart I think, that’s a really expensive tractor to just pull a grain cart around. Those guys could be money ahead to have an older cheaper cart tractor. But you gotta look good on the gram.
Grant Wiese@gwiesefarms
My guess is you could get by just fine with 1 less tractor. 🚜 Convenience tractors have become too common and come at a steep price.
English

No it’s not about that. It’s about using different management strategies for in order to get the soil to naturally release what we already paid for that is there. If you only concentrate on just WEOC or biologicals it won’t work. But if you use them as just one part of a new strategy it works very well. We will always need fertilizer just not as much synthetic fert as we have been using.
English

@SecRollins @BrookeLRollins Ah. Here you are. On tv again. You’re catching up to Kristi Noem

The conflict in the Middle East has led to a temporary disruption in global energy and fertilizer markets. Thankfully our farmers and families are staying ahead of the curve.
While the vast majority of American farmers have already locked in their fertilizer for the 2026 growing season, we’re also looking out for those who haven’t. We’ve temporarily waived the Jones Act, opened up fertilizer exports from Venezuela, and keeping every option on the table to keep supplies stable and costs under control.
On the food side, prices in many categories have actually fallen over the past year, and those downward trends are continuing as we rebalance global trade and open new markets for American agriculture.
We’re protecting the food supply. We’re strengthening our markets. Farm security is national security! 🇺🇸

@5150Farms Run an example where you get one farm paid off then use the income off that one to buy another and you’ll see why people buy. Never easy paying off that first one is the hardest part.
English

Does buying land make sense ?
1 acre example
$10,000 an acre and pay cash
Takes 30 yrs for the land to generate enough $$$ to pay for itself
Or invest that 10,000 in the stock market for
30 yrs and that 10,000 is now $100,000
And in 30 yrs that one acre is now worth $20,000 an acre ???
Now let’s do it when you put $5343 down payment
borrow $4657 so you have $300 an acre payments to bank for 30 yrs
Pay $4343 in interest
For a total of $14,343 invested into that 1 acre
Value of land in 30 yrs $20,000 per acre ??
Now invest that down payment of $5343 for 30 yrs
You will have $53,764

@JerodMcDaniel @Bkitch1Bodie 22,000 would be a replant situation in most of the corn belt. But might hit 180 as your goal
English

@Bkitch1Bodie @ScottFarmCo Absolutely, and with good weather 22k could hit 220 or higher.
Industry has ignored low population for far too long, we have been able to be able to hit 200 with 15k pop, it’s cool to watch plant grow when they aren’t crowded like they are at 30k plus
Flex is an overlooked gift
English

@Bkitch1Bodie I’d prob still drop 32,000 vs 34,000 or higher and just peel everything else back in that situation. Buy an older hybrid that’s cheaper
English

@ScottFarmCo Yep i agree but 22k is enough seeds to hit 180 but in a good year enough to hit 250 too and 22vs 34 is 40/ac diff an reduced N need

@SecRollins @USDA Madam Secretary- with all due respect- soybeans were down limit today. Spend less time on TV and more time actually getting us markets for our crops. We don’t want payments. We want trade and demand

America is winning on trade — and @USDA is keeping score! 🇺🇸🤝🌎🌍🌏

@gwiesefarms Grant-I skipped coffee shop (never go), checked markets that are down, checked my email this morning, & am currently servicing &fixing a fuel leak on one of my main tillage tractors for spring planting. It’s March 13 and 30 mph wind outside gusting to 50. What should I be doing?
English

Productivity hack:
Get out of your shop.
Go a week without checking email.
Avoid the coffee shop/water cooler talk.
Stop tinkering with equipment.
Don’t read up on the markets.
These are all things you do to keep busy, but nothing is actually getting done. You aren’t productive, just wasting time.
They are bad habits that prevent you from doing what is actually important. An excuse for your spouse or your boss that you are overwhelmed with all the work you have lined up.
Except this isn’t work.
Those things don’t need to be done.
Know your primary goal for the year: Whether it is financial, yield, or something else.
Every day, you should have 1 thing you can do that is meaningful and will move you closer to achieving that goal.
Often we stay busy for an entire year, yet never move forward in life.

@ayrporte @pinchehonkey Last few I’ve done I used washer then a bolt instead of a nut. Can get better burn all around it and the wrench still fits on the top
English

@MayTayColts @CVallierColts Matt- can you give us Ballard’s email please? Since he called us chicken shit we would like to email him directly. Thanks
English

Discussed the risk/reward in the Colts' decision to use the transition tag on Daniel Jones with @CVallierColts
English

@ColtsFilmRoom What teams did they play that stretch of games? Titans twice, Dolphins, Raiders, Falcons etc. They lost to the Broncos until a flag let them kick it again and turned it into a win.
If you flip the Colts schedule front to back Jones, Ballard and Shane are without jobs today
English

I simply have to log off until the negotiation process plays itself out.
I’m ill at the amount of people that forgot how good DJ played this year pre-injury.
Assuming he’s healthy and stays healthy, you can win a lot of games with him
Colts Film Room@ColtsFilmRoom
I vehemently disagree with the idea that Kyler Murray is a better fit for this offense than Daniel Jones
