USDA’s Deputy Under Secretary of FNCS Patrick Penn toured Red’s Best Seafood at the Boston Fish Pier today to learn more about their work supporting local fishermen and expanding access to fresh, locally sourced seafood across New England. ⚓️🐟 The Farm to School Program also supports “Sea to School” initiatives, and this partnership in New England is connecting more than 10,000 students with nutritious local seafood in their school cafeterias. Partnerships like these support American fishermen and coastal communities, help strengthen local food systems, create new markets for seafood producers, and teach the next generation more about where their food comes from. 🇺🇸
