Daniel got important clarifications from NVIDIA. TLDR: the "DLSS5 skeptical" were right about *everything*.
1⃣ It's a 2D AI Filter. Input is only color buffer & motion vectors. The model doesn't see geometry, lights, PBR properties, normals, anything🧵

Just tried FSR Upscaling 4.1 in a few PC games. It’s based on the same neural network as the upgraded PSSR we released for PS5 Pro… and it looks stunning!

@BMKing23 The RT implementation seems quite underwhelming though. I panned the camera down while looking at a lake and quite a few elements disappeared from the reflections, indicating that the RT BVH is quite limited.
My first impressions of #DeathStranding2PC are very positive, the game looks stunning and runs well overall and so far zero shader compilation stutters or traversal hitches.
The graphics settings are more streamlined than typical Nixxes ports but they scale well performance-wise.
The PSO explosion has grown so much that today we need massive cloud servers to deliver the PSOs. Each vendor has their own solutions. We should fix the root cause instead of building this massive infrastructure.

The performance difference enabling Ray Reconstruction is brutal on Crimson Desert, goes from ~80s fps with 4K DLAA to ~55 with DLSS on Quality
They must be enabling higher quality RT settings when RR is on, there is no way otherwise
So ... turns out that those studios that "made" those DLSS 5 clips didn't know anything about it, either.
It was obviously Nvidia, hence why they all look the same.
