@PaulTassi So why not say that in the article? You know the cost of Marathon's development is a constantly discussed topic and is highly controversial.
English

Quoting @PaulTassi article for this, but still no sources of any of it. I hate that kind of shit.
Now Paul's article will be treated as a primary source even though there is no evidence or even an indication of where he got the number from in this article.
Just "I can confirm Marathon’s budget is over $200 million. Likely more than $250 million."
How is it confirmed? Did you talk to someone in the studio privy to that info? Is there an industry report somewhere?
CharlieIntel@charlieINTEL
Bungie's Marathon title had a budget of over $200 million (via Forbes)

We’ve seen a lot of feedback around console sensitivity - both how fast you can swing the camera and how snappy the cursor feels in menus.
We wanted to confirm that both of these are actively on our radar. At the moment we're hard at work looking into how to up the cursor sensitivity, and will continue to look at how we can bump up the sensitivity options for how fast your camera turns. But, concrete changes may take a little while to finalize.
So worry not console sensitivity folks. We see and hear you, and will let you know about future changes once we have full details.

@Gothalion I'm not good at this game, I do enjoy playing it. Interested in the story mostly, but do also enjoy the loot/PVP aspect. That aside, I don't think this game gets shut down like Highguard, I don't see it solving Bungie's financial situation either if it doesn't get more popular.
English

A game for everyone is a game for no one. I’ll be curious how bungies “get good or get fucked” approach pans out. Frankly I like it. Specific niche experiences are always more rich/robust.
Shifting the window for limited time modes regularly would be a strong move. Curious to see how the playerbase shifts in size over time. As it currently stands, I have VERY LITTLE opportunity to play Cryo archive and that’s just how it is. Looks sick tho
Riloe@RiloeGaming
It's really crazy that Bungie could have made an approachable, mainstream compatible, bog-standard extraction shooter, and instead decided to make one of the most brutal, highest skill ceiling, creatively designed multiplayer experiences of all time

@kalaelizabeth @EricDaCost79017 When did nuance die? And is there anyway to bring them back? Sigh.
English

@EricDaCost79017 I didn't say the game was bad. I said I won't play a game that is normalizing the use of generative ai, especially as a replacement for real art. It isn't even labeled on steam. I don't want to support AI because it is unethical and stealing from real people. Simple as that.
English

Okay I don't like GEN AI either. But they are paintings, it's not like the whole game was done with Gen AI. And I am sure if you actually message the devs or even go as far as tweet them, they should get some artists to do the paintings. I am sure they would listen. But no, you have determined it's bad based on this and the DRM. Again I don't like either, but it doesn't mean I am gonna a hate it based on two factors. I generally play a game and determine if it's good, based on character story arcs, good writing and gameplay.
Kala Elizabeth@kalaelizabeth
Yeah, this sealed me not playing Crimson Desert. We can't let this become normalized. This sucks and there's a bunch in game

@sab5433 @ThatARCGuy @kalaelizabeth The guy is paying Elon Musk to have a blue check mark next to his name, he's not the brightest spark on the planet.
English

@ThatARCGuy @kalaelizabeth Writing this after most of the political and financial elite has been exposed to have taken part in international ring that trafficked minors is peak levels of braindead. Sorry, I can't say that nicely. Being a sexual predator doesn't disqualify you from success, unfortunately

@SirDimetrious All the scandals at Bungie in recent years have hardly helped inspire goodwill towards what was once a great developer. Seeing Destiny seemingly left to languish only deepens the disappointment. I still hope Bungie is able to keep making games.
English

@SirDimetrious When it was first announced I was optimistic & thought it looked cool. Learning it was an extraction shooter made me hesitant, but it's actually fun. Still, it is hard not to feel disappointed at how much Bungie seemed to fumble Destiny & other projects to make this game happen.
English

@PaulTassi This is so uninspired. Truly the darkest timeline.
English

@lexstrasza I like the part where WoWhead is doing the price anchoring work for Blizzard. Those clowns.

@Preheatwow For real though, I want to see Blizzard ban some high profile streamers/ players who been disregarding the ToS for years. The entertainment value would be amazing.
English

@Preheatwow If there is a god may they invoke Blizzard’s ToS so mightily and with such fury that the offspring of these wrongdoers will feel thy wrath and may the scourge of competitive advantage (what a joke) never darken our doors again! So say we all.
