@jazmineulloa @maggieNYT @AP I’m in a very red state and the Republican nominee always wins. I switched so I could vote in the Republican primary and moderate the candidate that wins. Then I vote for the candidate that actually reflects my values in the general.

More than 1 million voters across 43 states have switched to the Republican Party over the last year, signaling a political shift playing out in virtually every region in the country but nowhere as pronounced as in the suburbs, per a new @AP analysis. bit.ly/3brRU1A

@BWJones 👋 I’ve lived in Utah for almost 2 decades and just purchased a home in the NE that I will be moving to by the end of the year. I refuse to give my time, energy, and taxes to a state that cares so little for the women or children that live here.

Today I told Dr. Dunn that I would support a countywide mask mandate. With almost 9,000 cases yesterday, and knowing there are many more who utilized home tests or haven’t tested yet, I have great concern for our healthcare system, our residents, and our economy. (1/) #utpol

@noUpside Yes! My pandemic baby was born in May 2020 and he’s 100% wary of other people in ways that my older son (3yr) never was and still isn’t. He’s super friendly but gives side eye if they get too close and clings for dear life if someone gets within arms length.

So, curious if others with pandemic babies are finding them absolutely resistant to engaging with real people outside their familiar family/caregivers. My baby is so social on zoom - waves, smiles, babbles - but clings in person whenever anyone she doesn’t know is around.

@sltrib I can’t wait to move. But that’s the point I guess — they don’t want people like me here.

@AliVelshi @jelani9 That adorable baby in the background, though. It’s a good thing I listened to this segment in the car or I’d have had a hard time paying attention while blinded by cuteness

@JoyAnnReid Not knowingly but I will allow masked people for house maintenance. Any person old enough to qualify for a vaccine coming over for a social occasion will be vaccinated or GTFO.

I wrote about our daughter's experience, the reality of pediatric brain cancer – 6 surgeries, infections, the ICU, seizures, chemotherapy, and her death. I spent weeks learning what we can do to save other kids. I'd be honored if you'd read & share. washingtonpost.com/opinions/2021/…

@AntheaButler I heard the on the news that a doctor from the CDC told her kids that life was going to get weird and asked their schools if they had a plan. I knew right then I needed to buy some groceries and settle in for the long haul.
