With Kickstarter, at this stage it was just a pledge; it doesn't become a donation until the goal is reached, which never happened because they pulled the plug. So I won't be charged, but nonetheless, I am outraged at the cancelation.

@MikeLiveuk You are correct, they took the money from my campaign and I have nothing and they just didn’t charge people. That’s the problem, they canceled my campaign 11 days before funding because they think it’s hateful to write uplifting stories about women.

Kickstarter just removed the fundraiser for my book due to “transphobia.” The book features 40 women who have been affected by men in women’s sports and their stories on overcoming adversity. We are DONE being SILENCED. Kickstarter took ALL of the donations we had raised up to this point and now we’re back to ground 0. Please consider helping us re-fundraise on our GiveSendGo.

@deserthusk944 They didn’t fund it. It hadn’t reached my funding date, so it was only a pledge. They just didn’t charge people’s cards and and sent them a cryptic email that didn’t tell them why it was canceled, but I had violated some sort of guideline.

@absurdkat @floplag @Kickstarter Yes they were notified that it was canceled and that they wouldn’t be charged, but they weren’t told why outside of me having violated their guidelines.

@TeacherReality @Kickstarter They didn’t keep anything, they didn’t charge the people who had pledged, but I lost all of the money pledged toward my campaign to write the book. Just sent them an email saying that it had been canceled and they wouldn’t tell them why but I had violated some guideline.

Kickstarter took down the Women’s Sports fundraiser and took all the donations that were raised. The book features 40 women (myself included) and shares our stories of how we have been affected by transgenderism/DEI/etc. Once again, the freedom of speech has been taken away because we say NO to men in women’s sports.
