I say this as a conservative. I never understood why people piss on an architect’s art just because they didn’t like the person who commissioned it. Yes, the brutalism in the building’s design is too intense for my personal taste…but art is subjective. None of us want to live in a world where we start to dictate how a person should paint, write, or build, etc.

Are whites truly a minority in the US and UK? Absolutely not. I live in the US, and if I had the choice, I would rather have been born a white man because it still comes with significant advantages in everyday life.
If you’re a white man and have no desire to be another race or gender, that suggests your race and gender still carry privileges. The dynamics are changing, but Black Americans are still born with social disadvantages and remain a minority group.
We often give greater protection to children because they are more vulnerable. Murdering an adult is terrible, but murdering a child is generally considered even worse because the victim is more vulnerable and has had less chance to live their life.
