Some staff members and postgraduate students volunteered at the Johannesburg Wildlife Veterinary Hospital to assist them for #Mandeladay. They spent the day assisting with various tasks which included #tortoise health checks, and painting and cleaning the tortoise houses.

I love my lil hand made agarose gel transilluminator. Really proud that I circumvented a really shitty patent essentially owning the idea of "perpendicular illumination". Well, it's all freehand and no PCBs or glass lenses so take a hike. Will make for anyone. $64 + shipping!

Some concerning misinformation here: captive bred lions can hunt & breed, but releasing them in small fenced areas has no conservation value for wild lions, while wider release risks conflict. We need to focus on saving wild habitat & lions, not using CBL mahohboh.org/media-release-…
