This resident, known to me, has reported this leak Multiple times- even directly to the councilor himself. Only on the c3 reporting system to be shown as “completed” which it clearly has not been. It’s day 12 today!!! How much water does the @CityofCT waste due to inadequate service delivery?? And we residents get told to conserve water and pay dearly for it!!!! Greenpoint , CT

You can add to this that a growing percentage of “residents” in Cape Town and surrounds don’t pay a single cent for water and therefore could care less about shortages and associated costs since daddy government will provide. As usual the middle class will be punished.
Ashton Hudson@ashtonshudson

the only insane thing about this is that 8 years ago cape town got a massive warning for the shortfall in water storage. in the 8 years since, we have built literally 0 new dams. it’s not a rainfall problem, this is a planning problem

Cape Town's dam levels have dropped to 50.4% due to high water usage and the heatwave. Remember, water is essential only for necessary purposes. Let's work together to save water and delay restrictions. Every drop counts!

I don’t understand when @CityofCT says their turnaround time is 6 hours for an emergency issue like this one. I called them at 09:54. @geordinhl

Area safety conditions may impact restoration times as law enforcement escorts may be required. Note: If an area isn't included, it doesn't mean teams aren't aware of it. Residents in Eskom-supply areas are encouraged to contact Eskom directly regarding their electricity faults.

Cape Town is leading the way in infrastructure investment! We're projected to outspend all three Gauteng metros combined with a R120bn 10-year pipeline. More jobs, better services, especially for lower-income communities. See: brnw.ch/21x0S6N

@ashtonshudson There are six major dams servicing the City and other areas. Please see: bit.ly/4qhqgFI The drought has taught Cape Town that it is vital to have diverse water sources and not depend only on rain-fed dams.

Hi @CityofCT Do you have people looking into the traffic issues in Cape Town? Many could be solved by changing the timing on robots but I’m not sure anyone is even looking at that! Thanks
