We had a request to run numbers on Manitoba corn bids- specifically ethanol... MB ethanol is bidding an equivalent -60 the respective, pretty much all the way out the curve. Your competition is ND sourced corn. With freight, your ND sourced corn lands at around +45 the respective to a MB ethanol plant... Big spread between what the local bid is and their next best source. Something off when ethanol is making big margin at these fuel prices The other factor, less corn moving out West for feed this past year. However!!! at a -60 dlvd an elevator, corn lands a West Feed lot at a major discount to Feed barley and feeders would be switching over- literally seeing $20/MT discount... #corn #manitoba #ethanol

The #IEA is sending out "recommendations" (link below) to its member states in an attempt to reduce use of oil during this supply constraint and the recommendations are so eerie, has a covid/apocalyptic undertone to it... "Work from home when possible" "Avoid air travel where alt options exist" "Reduce highway speeds by at least 10km/h" What is also so wild, is of the 400Mb the member states committed to release to the market, a bunch of countries that fully rely on oil imports specifically from the middle east Japan committed 80Mb and about 90% of their crude is sourced from the Middle East... Well this is interesting... 🇨🇦CAD got weaker vs the USD as crude prices have been firming. How often do we see that.. Historically, CAD is a leading indicator to strength in crude, but there seems to be a decoupling of this relationship OR Even scarier thought (and probably the real truth) that not even strong crude prices can hide what's actually occurring in the Canadian economy and we are about to see the Canadian economy collapse (no idea when unless major intervention)... #CAD #energy #technicals

Government officials on both sides are trading these energy Futures- knowing announcements coming out from each side, the traders can hit the perfect highs and lows. Can't convince me otherwise ...

This👇 Never understood discussing marketing plans and planting intentions with commercial buyers (private business whose sole goal is to profit of your info). Having been a trader for the large commercials, you may think your local buyer won't tell anyone the info you provide but the moment you tell them anything on marketing intentions, planting intentions, price targets, etc all that information gets compiled and comes right back to every merchant in the company- which includes worldwide offices to literally trade AGAINST you. #canola #grainmarkets #agmarkets

6/6 The Federal Liberals only reason in having blocked, taxed and or outright reject these projects in some form or another (Nutrient export terminal) was an attempt to suppress Western Canada due to its growing economic power (jobs) that translates into political power. Thank god we had these provincial parties that moved these projects forward. As now, the rest of Canada and the world relies on the affordable benefit of these decisions as it would be way worse and dark to think about

5/6 Canadian Federal parties have tried to stifle this, the shit show of prices that we would been in had these provincial parties not been in as positions of authority to promote and approve these projects is scary to think.
