Alzheimer’s disease SUCKS. Driving to see my Daddy tomorrow. Nearing end stages and possibly has sepsis too. Can’t swallow now. Has been in hospital nearly 4wks. Instead of his care home. The not knowing when he will pass is almost as bad as it happening! 😢😢

@ThreeUK you have sent my Mum a text on my Dads phone asking for £39 via a debt collection firm! However, he has Alzheimer’s & is currently in hospital. You won’t deal with Mum as he is the acc holder!! She does NOT need this added stress! He was out of contract. Help!! 😳

@RadarLanark Thoughts are with you. My Mum is in the same situation as you. Since Feb. Her & Dad have been married 55yrs. Dad seems well cared for & Mum is no longer on her knees & in tears all the time. I hate he has Alzheimer’s but this seems the best outcome. I wish you both peace.

Today I lost my companion of 40 years. She was my rock, the person I shared my troubles with, my love, friend, and wife. However, Alzheimer's has hollowed her out and today she entered full time care. It's the best thing for both of us although it doesn't feel like it.

@RadarLanark My parents have been married 55yrs. In Feb 23, my Dad went into a nursing home. It’s been a massive change for them both. Not that Dad knows. He has Alzheimer’s & Mum could no longer manage his care. She feels guilty but it’s for the best, for them both. Bless you 🙏🏻

Although I know it's what needs to be done, I can't help feeling that after 40 years as a couple and 3½ years of caring, I've failed her and I've had several teary moments today. I feel a bit of me is dying. 🥺

Yesterday I decided I couldn't be Anne's carer anymore and started the process to put her into full time care. This morning, much to my surprise, Social Services called to tell me we'd had an offer of a bed.

Eldest had emergency surgery yesterday. He’s home and recovering well. Felt ill and in pain on Saturday evening and rang 111. 14 hours later, he went to see out-of-hours GP. Less than four hours after that it was decided he needed an operation

We don’t even know where to start with writing this post. If you do one thing today please read, share and send a message to Charlie in the Comments. Having been unwell for a few weeks, 13 year old cheeky & smiley Charlie, under 14 player from Weedon Football Club received the worst possible news on Friday. We are devastated to share (with his permission) that his results on 16/6/23 confirmed he has a rare and aggressive sarcoma which is incurable. Many friends are asking what they can during this heart breaking time, so one option is to help Luke, Karen and Maddie his sister to fill the time that Charlie has left with lots of fun, laughter and happy memories. Donating will enable the family to spend quality time together fulfilling Charlie’s bucket list, ensuring he has all the experiences he wishes for. The Just Giving link is in the comments below.

Hetty is getting spayed today and I'm a bit nervous! I'm worried about the operation and the recovery, but also kept waking up worrying that I was going to accidentally feed her today. Pleased to say I haven't accidentally fed her!

My daughter is now officially a Doctor - although she's actually a Dentist. Passed with honours and doesn't even use Twitter, but heck I'm having a proud moment. The fight she had to get there was astounding. Smashed through the glass ceiling 😁

On Wednesday I lost my beautiful daughter at Bournemouth beach. Sunnah was so well loved and well liked. No parent should ever have to go through what her dad and I are going through. We love you so much baby girl 💕
