Rocking the West Ham hoodie I got at London Stadium a few years back. In all likelihood, it’s the last day they’ll be in the Premier League for quite some time! #COYI⚒️ and #UTFT

@TheRealForno @OlearyCarl I’ve noticed that whenever a team has n good players, fans always seem to believe that they can only afford to pay n-1 of them

@OlearyCarl They can make it work, especially with Turner. He won't see the big money for at least three years. Jordan Addison same way, with his $18 million fifth-year option

They absolutely could have, and should have, made it work with Jonathan Greenard

@TheRealForno We could not have made the new contract work with all our impending FAs and everyone knew it. Might as well clear the space now and get value while you can instead of letting him walk in two years especially with his replacement on the roster

@ArifHasanNFL @MitchSchwartz71 People also seem to be making this strange leap in logic whereby they assume that anyone who creates a consensus board thinks that every NFL team should and/or will follow said board to a T

@MitchSchwartz71 Really appreciate this breakdown. I think the last point and the fourth point play a big role but there's also this from fans: the inherent uncertainty of the draft means you can fill in that gap with your own optimism and you don't like things that contradict that

Going to weigh in on the consensus board chatter. The stubbornness of the people who push it away has many layers, and I’m sure I’m still missing some, but here’s a few: 1) Don’t care to learn how the board comes to be (aka a lot more qualified people who do this professionally and not casual fans) 2) Unwilling to listen to historical data of how reaches have fared relative to the consensus board (despite loving their own historical data of physical traits and shying away from outliers 🤷‍♂️) 3) The belief that they are better than “media” members at scouting and creating draft boards 4) The belief that the 32 NFL scouting staffs are all the best people in the world at this and if anyone else knew better they’d be hired 5) Anecdotal evidence of a team (or teams) that doesn’t use the consensus board 6) A fatigue of draft analysis and grading due to a team’s picks relative to the consensus board (plus positional value). I myself am pretty fatigued by draft analysis because I feel like we’re reaching a sameness of thought, even if it might be more right than the way we used to think. It just becomes boring when it’s the same stuff over and over with reaches, trade downs, and positional value What else am I missing?

I don't understand this. Last year, you gave draft grades on players selected in the first round, including several D grades (nfl.com/news/grading-a…). Why are you allowed to give you give your grades but balk when others do it using a version of our collective work and wisdom?

Super excited to see Kyler in purple. But also…it’s interesting how quickly Vikings fans (and the organization?) departed from their pre-2025 commitment to developing a young franchise QB through his growing pains. 1 year of that and it seems most of us want out

The 2017 Chiefs’ offense was better than the 2024 Vikings’ offense in terms of ppg and epa/play. Then they made the terrible decision to move on from Alex Smith.

Almost all Vikings fans wanted to move on from Darnold after 2024, but it’s wrong to act as though that was based only on the last two games. We’d seen years of mediocrity from Darnold before one good season. No other QB in NFL history has parlayed that into sustained success.

The details surrounding Kwesi Adofo-Mensah's firing was puzzling. I break down what I've read, what I've heard, what his track record is and why I think there's more at play than him simply being bad at drafting wideleft.football/p/the-kwesi-ko…
