I called it a few days ago. I never trust devs like Pearl Abyss. They are only known for “Flashy” graphics and subpar MMOs. I knew this game seemed too good to be true. And I was actually generous thinking it would be Low 80s.

This is the real kicker. I also didn’t start loving Crimson Desert till 8+ hours in. For a lot of games that might be a third of your total playtime but Crimson is a 120+ hour game. If you are fine with the initial slow burn I think there is a ton of fun to be had

CRIMSON DESERT starts rough. I honestly disliked the first 8 hrs. Once it opens up and you get more power + abilities, it's a TON of fun. So many gameplay systems but they don't feel cynical or half-baked. I wish there was a better story but combat/exploration hooked me 1/2

Nine out of ten times the score is within 10 points of where I’d place it on a 100 point scale.
It’s popular to say “I don’t trust critic scores” but I find them more often than not intelligent, experienced & most importantly valuable.
