Javadocs usually refer to the generated version that assembles comments + signatures in a browsable format: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Javadoc The detailed documentation with multiple layers would be adjacent and thats what my original question was about: Where should we invest into providing more info for such documentation.

Documentation can also have the level of complexity of source code, with multiple layers dissecting the internal details. If documentation were like that, it would be easy because you would cut corners and explain everything so that anyone could understand, from the simplest to the most advanced, somewhat reducing the entry point into development.

hey Slikey, My question is whether the source code is useful if you have the documentation. Doesn't one surpass the other? Will it serve as a "template" to facilitate the initial server creation? Will it come with explanatory documentation? :) Many questions, but thank you in advance.

@AzureDoomC @Kaupenjoe It will initially be on Github. I'll check for Maven aswell. Will try to get that delivered aswell because you are right.

@slikey @Kaupenjoe Is the shared source only on github or will it be on the maven as well? Being able to cut out decompiling via vineflower in my plugin would be nice, even if locally for me its just under a minute to do so.

Hey @Kaupenjoe! I am considering taking some of my own time and some time from devs to have some deep dives into gaps / documentation. I heard there are gaps especially in understanding of ECS and other APIs. We could have some in depth interviews between Modders and Devs to provide critical info, concrete plans and future vision for those subsystems. Which systems would be most needed and what is more requested? We are finalizing some stuff right now: Java Docs (automatically updated) within 1-2 weeks and shared source on Github in 3-4 weeks.

@Buuz135mods @Kaupenjoe I mean its not really an either or. We can contribute to docs while we work on source access anyway. There is simply no speeding up creating a brand new license when a legal team needs to create it as there is no generic license out there that just fits the requirements.

@slikey @Kaupenjoe I feel like source is more important than docs, one we can search the uses for stuff modding will be 100% easier. Right now its impossible to know what something does because we can't search the uses for it

It's time for biome mapping, wish me luck. I’ve put together the biomes that are superficially complete (there’s still a lot of work to be done on them) , and there are way too many optimization issues. Warp is probably the cause. I’ll check the logs and try to fix them one by one. If there are any experts in optimization, I’m ready to tap into all their expertise 😅 Unfortunately, because I’ve been spending 6 to 7 hours a day on my English studies alongside the course, there are a lot of things I’ve had to put off like Biome Mapping. The good news is that I’m now at the C1 level on language proficiency tests, and they’ve placed me in an academic class. From here on out, it’s all about gaining experience to speak fluently and learning as many words as I can.
