From small places, we can build things that reach the world.

I left with more than memories I left with purpose. I’ve dedicated his book to my little sister Nabintu, as a reminder that work done in good faith always carries a future.

I ,( @realBashige ) ,had the privilege of visiting the great work of Charles Mully alongside @TheGiftofchess , @Tunde_OD , @BerniceWambui22 , and ambassadors from around the world. What he has built for his community is beyond inspiring. A life transformed into service. A vision turned into hope for thousands.

Tilililililili ,tililililililiii , tililililililiiiiii ,tatatata 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Mwiki Primary School, Nairobi 🇰🇪 5000 children, an incredible energy. We were warmly welcomed, alongside GoC ambassadors from different parts of the world and Mr Russell the founder of @thegiftofchess visiting Nairobi. What stood out the most? The children’s desire to learn visible in their eyes, their attention, and their willingness to express their ideas. The activities we conducted will have a real impact: the chess club of this excellent school will certainly grow. Yet, their level is already impressive clear proof of their strong potential. A meaningful moment: I ,@realBashige , met many Congolese children who are temporarily living in Nairobi due to the armed conflicts in the Minembwe plateau. Most of them are Banyamulenge children from the southern part of the DRC🇨🇩. They are resilient, bright, and full of promise. They make their nation proud ( As their principal told me ) … and they play chess 😊 Projection: If only 20% of these 5000 children actively engage in chess, that already represents 1000 young minds developing skills in strategy, patience, and critical thinking. Among them, hundreds of children from conflict affected communities are finding a new direction through chess. Now imagine: 1000 children learning how to move the pieces in one single school… That is already a generation learning how to think better. The future is not predicted. It is built one move at a time. This is Day 1. Zazuuuu

In an effort to reach our goal of distributing 1 million chess sets globally by 2030, we have launched our 1st strategic micro manufacturing factory. In the heart of Kibera, we are turning plastic waste into chess sets, we will be setting up similar factories all over the world.

Today, our @thegiftofchess team who have gathered in Kenya from across the world, had the honor of meeting Dr. Charles Mully and visiting The Mully Family Home.

Over the years, I remember my father talking about the impact Dr. Mully had on his life after reading his book and watching his movie. It was a special moment when I was able to connect them over speaker phone for a heartfelt conversation and receive a signed copy of his book.
