World Down Syndrome Day takes place today, with the date (21/3) representing the triplication of the 21st chromosome. The day raises awareness of Down Syndrome and celebrates inclusion, individuality and community. A simple way people show their support is by wearing odd socks, a fun reminder that we’re all unique and all included. In the run‑up to the day, colleagues across Stephensons have been taking part by wearing their brightest and boldest odd socks. For every photo received from our team, we’ll be making a donation to @BoltonFaces, a local organisation that enhances the lives of children with Down’s Syndrome and their families through development‑focused activities, training and regular support groups. Thank you to everyone who has taken part. 🧦💛 #WorldDownSyndromeDay #WDSD

Understanding the difference between matrimonial and non‑matrimonial assets is crucial when separating finances during a divorce. Many people assume all assets are shared equally or that pre‑marital or inherited assets are automatically protected, but this isn’t always the case. Emma Roberts' blog explains how assets are categorised, when non‑matrimonial assets may still be divided and what the Standish v Standish Supreme Court decision means for separating couples: ow.ly/UUW350Ytq2T

Only 23% of employees say their organisation has dedicated neurodiversity policies in place. A further 23% report recognition of the issue, but no formal action. Worryingly, over half of employees either say their employer is unaware of neurodivergent needs or simply don’t know if support exists. Clear, consistent communication is essential.
