@SortaStupidRuff The cost cutting of good animators to "cheap" animators is to obvious. There is a reason that almost all of the OG Newgrounds animators basically abandoned creation on YouTube. PlagueOfGripes felt like he held on but realized commentary was more profitable.

One video is longer so you get more money
And
One video shorter so you get less.
It’s why people make 1 hour long videos con depends on average watch time as well

Let me make something clear. I'm giving a general statement about long form vs ultra long form videos. If anything, I'm saying that you getting that RPM is a good thing which is why I used it as an example.
That being said, main things that affects RPM are topic, avd, and demographic. One of these must've been the main reason behind your video's rpm.

This is what happens when you upload longer videos
Longer videos = Higher AVD = Higher RPM
There's a reason why compilation channels make so much money even with less views than the main channel
Main channel:
500k views & $4 RPM = $2000
Comp channel:
500k views & $15 RPM = $7500
A 3.75x increase and you still don't want to make comps out of your long form videos? yeah bro...

$80+ cpm is not normal for my niche

The longer your videos are, the more ad revenue you'll make.
Longer videos have more opportunities for ads to play, making you more money.
Longer videos get watched by higher quality audiences, making you more money.
Longer videos get played on TVs more, where more ads are shown, making you more money.

Usually something with this demo & length would be like $25ish, maybe $30

Audience is basically the same, time of year doesn’t matter as I’ve had videos longer than 2 hours release every month of the year including Nov / Dec when ad rev is higher
Only difference on this video is the female demo is higher than normal. But I’ve had vids with similar female demo that were similar in length in the past and didn’t come close to an $80+ cpm

I only compared the two above because they made basically the same amount with drastically different viewership
